Lukas Podolski tipped for January exit to Schalke

Arsenal star Lukas Podolski is being linked with a January exit from the Emirates, with Schalke 04 a possible destination.

French newspaper Le 10 Sport have tipped the 28-year-old for a move away from the Premier League club, and the German outfit are reportedly top of the list of potential suitors.

This follows news released yesterday that both Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are interested in acquiring the forward, and with the future of starlet Julian Draxler far from secure, Schalke may move sooner rather than later.

The former Bayern Munich striker has failed to establish himself as a regular starter at Arsenal and has missed the majority of Arsenal's brilliant start to the season through injury.

With Arsenal performing so well, and a number of players making serious strides to cementing themselves in his position, the Germany international could find it difficult to re-establish himself in the team.

According to Le 10 this could mean that Podolski, who signed for Arsenal in 2012, seeks a January exit, with Schalke keen on bringing him back to the Bundesliga.
