While many have often accused the Premier League of being somewhat dull and predictable at the top, the opening stages of the 2013/14 season have been positively crazy by comparison.

With Manchester United having endured an uncharacteristic struggle just to keep themselves in the title race following the departure of the iconic Sir Alex Ferguson, cross-city rivals City are also being plagued by infuriating mistakes and inconsistencies.

While those aforementioned two struggle, Arsenal have confounded pre-season expectation by leading the way in the race for the Premier League crown. Chelsea are providing staunch competition, along with Merseyside outfit Liverpool.

Here, GMS lists the top five managers in the Premier League and, most importantly, ranks them in order according to their general abilities and how they have fared so far during the early stages of the current campaign.

Please feel free to let us know your thoughts below.Do you agree with our list? What order would you put them in?

Are there any managers you feel we have overlooked?
