Liverpool are a "big threat", says Yaya Toure

Published Add your comment

Manchester City star Yaya Toure believes Liverpool are a big threat because of the partnership of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool have made a fine start to the campaign and currently sit in third place, just two points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Suarez and Sturridge have both started the season impressively and have 14 goals between them already in the division.

The Reds currently sit four points ahead of Toure's side and speaking to Goal.com, the Ivorian said: “Liverpool are a big threat at the moment because they have a strong squad and their strikers – Luiz Suarez and Daniel Sturridge - are scoring goals at will.”

The Merseyside outfit face a huge test of their title credentials this coming weekend as they travel to the Emirates to take on Arsene Wenger's side.

Meanwhile Manuel Pellegrini's City side will be desperate to get back to winning ways in the league as they take on Norwich City at the Etihad stadium.

Do you agree with Toure? Can Suarez and Sturridge fire Liverpool into Premier League title contention this season?
