Not a great deal actually went right for Arsenal on Tuesday evening as a much-changed side slumped to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup.
Goals either side of half-time from Spanish duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Juan Mata ensured a joyous evening for Jose Mourinho's Blues at the Emirates Stadium, but midfielder Michael Essien may not have enjoyed such a pleasant evening.
Although his team secured their progress into the next stage of a competition their superior squad depth surely means they have an excellent chance of winning, the Ghanaian will probably not want to be reminded that he was the unfortunate victim of a quite brilliant piece of skill from Arsenal's Santi Cazorla.
Relentlessly harried by both Essien and Belgian Kevin de Bruyne in the 23rd minute, the silky playmaker had an utterly spontaneous moment of pure magic by selling a couple of rapid stepovers before effortlessly flicking the ball through the former's legs.
Evidently embarrassed, Essien has no choice but to subsequently foul his marauding opponent.
