Chelsea's promising starlet Thibaut Courtois has refused to provide clarification over his future, according to FourFourTwo.
The 21-year-old stopper, who has enjoyed immense success whilst on loan at Atletico Madrid, has been linked with Barcelona, as well as being tipped to replace Petr Cech next year as Chelsea's No.1.
However it seems the youngster hasn't made up his mind concerning his long-term future, as he confirmed that he wanted to stay at Atletico this year to continue his development, but was unsure about next season.
When asked about his plans come the end of the current season Courtois said: "We must wait, time will tell.
"This year I wanted to stay because I wasn't sure if I would play at Chelsea.
"Besides, I was excited to play in the Champions League with Atletico and wanted to be a starter with a view towards the World Cup.
"But now everything depends on Chelsea. I had a conversation with (Jose) Mourinho and decided it was best to stay here.
"I belong to Chelsea, but Atletico is the most important club of my life. I've got titles and prestige in a short time."
Atletico currently sit second in La Liga between Real Madrid in 3rd and Barcelona in 1st, after having kicked off their campaign in an excellent vein of form.
It is believed that it is Mourinho's intentions to ensure that the 'keeper is treated as Cech's replacement for the future, but with Barcelona having registered an interest and Atletico continuing to do well, it may worry Blues fans that Courtois has refused to offer definitive allegiance to his parent club.
