Robin van Persie

In 2011, Robin van Persie single-handedly dragged Arsenal in to third place, securing Champions League football.

He joined Manchester United for the following season and essentially dragged the Red Devils to a 13th Premier League title.

Such talismanic displays have earned him a place on the 23 man list and bookmakers give him odds of 50/1 to win the prize.

With back-to-back Golden Boots and a Premier League winners medal, the flying Dutchman deserves to be up there alongside Ronaldo, who of course won nothing with Real Madrid last season.
