Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has praised Costel Pantilimon for his assured display against Newcastle United last night (Wednesday) - and has admitted he does not know which goalkeeper he will select for the Premier League clash against Norwich on Saturday.
According to BBC Sport, the Chilean was coy on the matter of who will be preferred as the number one to face the Canaries - but spoke highly of the Romanian following a clean sheet in the Capital One Cup tie at St. James' Park.
"Costel normally plays in the League Cup and FA Cup so it was an important game for him," said Pellegrini.
"He always has my trust and the trust of all the team - that is why he is here.
"He is a good player and is not playing too much because Hart played this year and last year but I trust him and for him and for the whole team to keep a clean sheet after six games is very important."
The 2-0 win culminated in a clean sheet for City following six games where they had conceded, with Hart playing in all of those games.
The England number one has come in for a spate of criticism this season after howlers against Scotland and Cardiff City, and the pressure has only intensified following a mistake on Sunday that handed Chelsea a 2-1 win over their title rivals at Stamford Bridge.
Pellegrini stopped short of saying who will play on Saturday, but confessed to not having made his mind up on the matter.
"Whichever player plays will have my support. I will think about that on Thursday," he concluded.
