Juergen Klopp, the German manager who guided Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final last season, has been linked to several top clubs over recent months.
However, those clubs will be sorely disappointed as Dortmund chairman Hans Joachim Watzke proudly reported on Wednesday that Klopp has agreed to a lucrative two-year contract extension that binds him to the club until 2018.
Klopp has managed to win two Bundesliga titles and one German Cup during his five-year stay at the club.
Dortmund currently sit second in the Bundesliga, only one point behind defending Champions Bayern Munich and only ahead of third placed Bayer Leverkusen on goal difference.
After an impressive win at the Emirates Stadium, Dortmund are now favourites to win their Champions League group and sit first ahead of Arsenal and Napoli who both share six points with Dortmund.
It looks as though star striker Robert Lewandowski will be departing the club either in January or the summer, but if Klopp can start hanging onto his stars it is quite possibly that the German could build a dominant dynasty at the club and experience tremendous success.
