Valencia manager Miroslav Djukic has compared his team to a 'sinking ship' as he looks to turn around their disappointing start to the season
The Spanish club recently slumped to their third consecutive La Liga defeat at home against Almeria which left them sitting 11th in the table.
The new coach was unhappy at the result and admitted his team are in trouble but he will turn things around.
"There is sadness after losing a match like that." Djukic told reporters. "It hurts us. Currently the team is very weak.
"We've had opportunities, but psychologically we look like a sinking team."
"When you come to a new team there is always the possibility that you could do things wrong. But I am a professional and I will try to put things right."
The Serbian is under pressure despite only arriving in June from Real Valladolid.
Valencia finished fifth in La Liga last season and are restricted by their tight financial situation which results in them selling their best players every season.
Djukic will hope for a better performance on Sunday, when Valencia take on Getafe.
