Gareth Bale has silenced his critics and expressed his hope to kick on after a disrupted start to his career at Real Madrid.
The world's most expensive footballer showed why he is worth the €100m Real Madrid paid Tottenham Hotspur for him in Wednesday's game against Sevilla.
Los Merengues thrashed the visitors with a 7-3 victory and Bale was pivotal for Real and scored a brace and provided two assists.
The Welsh winger played on the right-side of a three-man frontline alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
The Welshman opened the scoring with a fierce from the edge of the box and added a second goal from a 30-yard free-kick, which took a deflection. Later on he assisted his fellow forwards after powerful runs on the right flank.
Throughout the whole 90 minutes, Bale was looking for the ball, flashing down the flanks, adding a lot of creativity to the home side and scoring two awesome goals.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the Welsh wizard said: "It was important for my form.
"After not having a normal pre-season I have to keep building rhythm so I can give my best.
"Obviously I need time to improve physically but I am very happy to have played 90 minutes.
"Now I need to keep improving and working hard and I will try to be at 100 percent as soon as possible."
After some injury set-backs, not the greatest start and an El Clasico, which he has to forget as quickly as possible, Gareth Bale has showed what a great player he is and now has to continue with this sort of performances in order to win a place in Real Madrid's Starting XI.
