Barcelona are not in the running to sign Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ted Stegen, according to his agent.
The Catalan club have been linked with a host of 'keepers since Victor Valdes announced his intention not to sign a contract extension at the Camp Nou.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina and Thibault Courtois have been linked with Barcelona in the past but it would appear as though Ter-Stegen is the most likely candidate to replace the out-going Valdes.
Reports this week that the 21-year-old shotstopper is on the verge of agreeing a switch to Spain have intensified.
However his agent, Gerd vom Bruch, has denied that is the case - and says the Spanish giants may have some competition on their hands.
"There are two very good clubs interested in Marc. Barça is not one of them. We are also talking with Gladbach."
The player himself has also confirmed he is in talks with Gladbach over a new contract, although he insisted he wouldn't be rushed into signing a new deal.
"Nothing new has happened. I am in talks with Borussia Monchengladbach. I never ruled out renewing my contract," he told Kicker.
"This whole thing won't take place until next summer, I can say that much. But I will take the time I need to make this decision.
"Sporting director Max Eberl knows about everything. We always talk openly and honestly."
