Sergio Aguero remains cool over Maradona 'whimp' taunts

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has refused to become embroiled in a feud with Argentinian legend Diego Maradona.

Aguero is the son in law of the legendary footballer, but has recently become involved in a messy divorce with his wife - Maradona's daughter- leading to the former Napoli man branding him a 'coward' and a 'whimp'.

However rather than retaliate with a tit for tat response, the City striker took to Twitter to confirm that he was not going to get himself drawn into a war of words.

Aguero used to social media site to allay any worries that he might strike back verbally against Maradona.

He Tweeted: 'Not responding to Maradona. Issues related to my divorce should be resolved in private. Benjamin is above everything.'

Benjamin is course reference to his young son, whom Aguero and his wife continue to battle for custody over in court.

It's clear that Diego Maradona is less than pleased with the conduct from the man he once managed when in charge of Argentina, but it's Aguero who has proven himself the bigger man on this occasion.
