Harry Redknapp has tipped youngster Will Hughes for huge success in the Premier League ahead of facing the teenager at the weekend, according to talkSPORT.

18-year-old Hughes, who cites Spanish legends Xavi and Andres Iniesta as role models for his style of play, is on the radar of both Manchester United and Liverpool after consistently impressing for Championship side Derby County, who travel to Loftus Road this weekend to face Redknapp's QPR.

He is seen by many as the brightest talent outside the Premier League at this present moment in time, and the Rangers boss has no doubts that the Surrey-born youngster will make it to the top.

"He's a real player for the future," said Redknapp.

"He's a young talent, he's got the ability to go right to the top. He's one for the future for a top Premier League club."

Hughes, who also has four England Under-21 caps, signed an extension to his Derby contract toward the end of last season, meaning his current deal now runs until the end of the 2015/16 season.

He has immediately impressed new Rams boss Steve McClaren, scoring in the new manager's first game - a 3-1 win over Leeds United.
