Manchester City boss is yet to decide whether to carry on with Joe Hart in goal or to drop him in favour of Costel Pantilimon.

Hart has made a number of high profile mistakes this season, with his latest coming at the weekend that granted Chelsea striker Fernando Torres an easy finish and condemned Manchester City to a 2--1 defeat.

To make matters worse, Costel Pantilimon had a fine game in goal in City's League Cup clash against Newcastle on Wednesday, producing a number of top class saves.

Pantilimon kept City in the game at 0-0, expertly saving a shot from Papiss Cisse. City went on to win 2-0 in extra time.

Hart has made a number of high profile errors this season, including  Champions League game against Bayern Munich and for England against Scotland in August.

"Whichever keeper plays will have my support," Pellegrini told reporters.

"Costel normally plays in the League Cup and FA Cup so it was an important game for him."

Luckily for Hart, Pellegrini saw Chelsea's second goal as more of a defensive error from Matija Nastasic, which could see the England number one have his place saved when City play Norwich on Saturday.
