It is perhaps one of the most iconic moments in football.

Pele almost pulled off one of the most outrageous goals of all time at the 1970 World Cup against Uruguay - but sadly after his audacious dummy he couldn't quite put his shot in the back of the net.

If it had gone in, it would undoubtedly be considered as one of the greatest goals of all time.

Fast forward to 2013 and the man tipped to emulate Pele and lead Brazil to World Cup glory, Neymar, almost pulled off the same trick.

During Barcelona's game against Espanyol last night his dummy bamboozled his opponent - only for the 'keeper to cynically hold him back.

So sadly we missed another opportunity to see a Pele-esque goal scored - but it is still well worth checking out the audacious attempt by Neymar to earn himself a little place in the history books.
