European kings Bayern Munich are preparing an offer for Manchester City talismanic striker Sergio Aguero, reports the Daily Mirror.

Spanish manager Pep Guardiola is known to be a huge admirer of the Argentinian and even tried to sign him for Barcelona, when Aguero was playing for Atletico Madrid.

Now that Guardiola is at Bayern, he has the finances and could lure the hot-shot striker to the Aliianz Arena next summer.

Astonishingly, sources close to the Munich monster club reveal Guardiola would even offer Robert Lewandowski in exchange – once the Borussia Dortmund striker joins on a free.

The Polish hit-man is expected to join the Bavarians once his contract with Borussia Dortmund runs out next summer.

Yet Aguero has said more than once that he is happy in Manchester, and has finally settled to life in England and has no reason to move.

Since the start of the season Aguero has been in sensational form. In 12 games, the striker has scored 11 times and provided six assists.

City will try to fend off interest from their striker and would put a huge price tag on Aguero - as much as £50million - but if Lewandowski signs for Bayern, it's hard to imagine why Guardiola would want to sell the Polish striker.
