Money is becoming an increasingly crucial entity in football.

It's always been valued highly within sport, but lately it has become something of a necessity for those looking to do well.

And traditionally with great money comes little responsibility.

With a number of clubs being owned by billionaires or consortiums of ridiculously wealthy men, it's becoming an increasing trend that players who never once looked like leaving a club, can do so at a whim with the sniff of a mind-boggling contract.

Lionel Messi is the latest superstar to be linked with a previously-thought-impossible move away from his boyhood side, with three European giants said to be willing to pay a whopping €250million for his services in the summer.
