Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has claimed Real Madrid are fearless ahead of their trip to Turin to face Juventus in the Champions League.

Los Merengues are top of  group B after beating Galatasaray 6-1, Copenhagen 4-0 and Juventus 2-1 in their three games so far in the competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo bagged two goals when the teams met in the Spanish capital two weeks ago in a match that saw Giorgio Chiellini sent off.

The Spanish giants face Juventus after back-to-back victories in the Primera Division over Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano have seen them score 10 goals, and the former Tottenham midfielder says the team is full of confidence.

Speaking to Real's official website, he said: "We are not afraid of Juventus. They are a great team that we respect, but we are not afraid of them.

"They have a great squad with great players, and when you play big matches like this you want the best players from the other team to play against you.

"I want to play my best and help my team to win all of the matches and trophies possible.

"I prepare for Champions League matches in the usual way, the same as for a league match. There is not much difference between getting ready for one or the other."

A Real Madrid win will send them through to the next stage of the competition, which they last won in 2002 when Zinedine Zidane's wonder-volley secured a 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

Juventus come into the game in excellent form. After losing to Real, Juventus have won three games on the trot scoring seven goals in the process.
