Real Madrid are in pole position to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suarez next summer, according to Goal.com.
The Liverpool forward, who was a subject of a summer bid from Arsenal, wanted to leave the Merseyside club in the last transfer window.
However, the Uruguayan forward ending up staying at Anfield and has so far been in sensational form for Brendan Rodgers' side this season.
And now it looks as if Spanish giants Real Madrid will secure a move for the controversial star in next summer's window as they will be unable to afford him in January.
It's expected that the Bernabeu outfit will have to pay £45 million plus for the striker and despite Liverpool keen to keep Suarez at the club for the long term they would rather sell to an oversees side.
The Reds will be desperate to secure Champions League qualification this season as it will increase their chances of keeping the striker.
