Arsenal receive double injury boost for Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal are set to receive a timely injury boost after Kieran Gibbs and Serge Gnabry were seen training with the squad today.

The Gunners face a crucial game away to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League knowing a win will all but seal qualification whilst a loss will make it difficult.

Gnabry, who has impressed so far this season, hasn't played for the team since being substituted in the 2-0 win against Crystal Palace 10 days ago.

An ankle problem kept him out of the Liverpool clash but the German youth international was seen training with the squad this morning, increasing speculation that he will travel with the squad to Germany.

Gibbs also trained today in what will be a significant boost for the Gunners ahead of a crucial week.

The 24-year-old has played a key part in Arsenal's run to the top of the league but limped out of the game on Saturday night with an apparent calf problem.

Having struggled with injury for so long, Arsenal feared the worst but seeing the player back in full training will lift the spirits.

It is yet to be confirmed whether either player will be fit to travel with the squad.

Seeing them train, however, increases the chance that both players will be fit if not for Tuesday then for Sunday's clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The return of both players is the second and third injury boost Arsenal have received in 24 hours after it was revealed that Theo Walcott is in contention to play in the Manchester United tie.
