Former Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given believes David Moyes should be judged as boss of Manchester United in three years, reports talkSPORT.
The Red Devils have had an indifferent start to the season and Moyes has come in for criticism in the early parts of the campaign.
The Old Trafford outfit currently sit in eighth place and eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, however Given believes it's far too early to judge the United boss.
Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, Given said: “United have had a bit of a stuttering start [to the season]and people are saying the jury is still out on David Moyes, but I would say it should be two or three seasons before you can judge Moyes and the players he wants to bring in.
“He’s shown in the last month or so they are improving and going in the right direction.”
United picked up a point in the Champions League last night as they drew 0-0 against Real Sociedad in Spain and next up for the Red Devils will be a crunch clash with table-topping Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Moyes' side have already lost three league games this season and will be desperate to pick up all three points at the Theatre of Dreams this weekend.
