The first Raw of November came to us live from Greenville, South Carolina.
The show kicked off with CM Punk out to face Luke Harper and dish out a slice of revenge for his attack at the hands of The Wyatt Family last week.
CM Punk v Luke Harper
Luke started the match with a couple of hard slaps to Punk, the former WWE Champion replied with some of his own offence and the match was back and forth between the big men for a few minutes, unsurprisingly Eric Rowan involved himself in the match so Punk dived on him from the top rope, Harper tried to take advantage but Punk countered. Harper tried to hit his variation of The Clothesline from hell but Punk countered with a roll up for the win.
After the match The Wyatt family attacked and had CM Punk ready for Bray to hit sister Abigail but Daniel Bryan ran to the ring with a chair, and cleared house before the Wyatt family turned on him and Punk grabbed the chair and The Wyatt’s retreated.
BACKSTAGE: CM Punk was with Renee Young and told the WWE Universe that he is used to being outnumbered but he is not the only one who has an issue with The Wyatt’s.
Ryback v The Great Khali
Khali tried to use his power over Ryback to start off and he managed to get the big man down, but Ryback fought out and hit an explosive clothesline for the three count.
After the match Ryback attacked Santino from behind but Hornswoggle kicked him through the ropes and ran, Santino jumped on his back but was thrown into the baracade.
Kofi Kingston v Alberto Del Rio
Former World Champion Del Rio was back in action after losing his title to John Cena at Hell in a Cell. Kofi was no easy opponent either as the African took it to The Mexican throughout, seemingly in a better mood since his face off with The Wyatt Family.
Kofi had the advantage after he got the two count from a roll up but Del Rio countered into the cross arm breaker for the submission win.
Throughout the night the WWE Universe were allowed to vote for Randy Orton’s opponent, either The Miz, Dolph Ziggler or Big E Langston were up to face The Viper.
Randy Orton v Big E Langston
The fans voted for it and since Big E had been switched to baby face as of late putting him against the biggest heel in the business was a good move by WWE to see how he would react.
Big E held his own throughout with Orton using all of his offense against him, even the steel steps at one point but Big E countered. Orton then set up for the RKO but Langston countered with an explosive body charge and Big E set up for the Big Ending but Orton countered that and hit a fast RKO for the win.
Fandango and Summer Rae v Tyson Kidd and Natalya
Tyson Kidd made his WWE return from injury against one of the biggest disappointments in Fandango, the two men fought a good match before Summer tagged herself in which forced Natalya into the ring, Summer then slapped Natalya only for The Veteran to put her on her backside.
Summer showed her improved amount of offence in the ring but Natalya is the stronger of the two and managed to counter her way out to tag Tyson back in. Kidd looked very impressive with his kicks and high flying techniques and Fandango had no answer, but thanks to a distraction from Summer Fandango managed to regain the upper hand. Fandango went for his top rope leg drop but Tyson countered into the Sharpeshooter and after Natalya disposed of Summer, Fandango tapped.
BACKSTAGE: Renee Young was backstage with Damien Sandow reminding him that he was only the second person in history to cash in his money in the bank unsuccessfully. The Intellectual one did not take it as constructive and began to list how many different things he was annoyed about before Zebb Colter interrupted him and they talked about their match later in the night.
John Cena was out to cut a promo about Cancer awareness month and to thank everyone in the WWE who had taken part. He also introduced cancer survivors in the audience and showed the audience where their donations were going.
John Cena and Goldust and Cody Rhodes v The Real Americans and Damien Sandow
Raw returned from commercial with John Cena and Damien Sandow in the ring with Sandow wanting to show he could beat Cena after his unsuccessful attempt last week. Del Rio and Colter were on commentary and were both abusing Michael Cole.
The match itself had already taken place on Smackdown last week so it was a pretty simple rematch, John Cena facing off against Cesaro showed the strength of Antonio, and the smaller man managed to hold his own against the World Champion.
John Cena managed to hit the AA to Jack Swagger but Sandow hit Your Welcome to Cena and Cody kicked him to the outside, Cesaro and Goldust were the two legal men in the ring and Cesaro locked in his swing but Goldust rolled out of the ring, Cesaro followed him and was pushed into Zebb Colter at ringside. Cena then threw Cesaro back into the ring where Goldust hit him with a bull dog but Sandow broke it up, Cody disposed of him and Cena hit the cross body on Cesaro. Goldust finished the match off with the final cut for the win.
After the match Del Rio stared at John Cena for a while before getting up and storming backstage.
The whole night the commentators were showing why they thought the Big Show should be banned from WWE for life, but Show was seen backstage with the superstars and Vickie was freaking out in Triple H’s office.
Stephanie then said that she had let Big Show in and they were not risking a law suit. She then said that they had to settle the whole thing between the three of them. Vickie then went to invite the Big Show to Triple H’s Office.
Dolph Ziggler v Curtis Axel
Axel made his return from injury after missing his match with Big E Langston at Hell in a Cell, he faced the show off of the WWE in a very technical match.
Axel looked strange out in the ring alone without Heyman guiding him but he seemed to be doing just fine on his own. Axel went for a powerbomb for the win but Ziggler countered into the famouser for a two count before he got the win via the Zig Zag.
BACKSTAGE: Daniel Bryan was backstage with Renee Young explaining why he returned after his attack last week.
The Uso’s v 3MB
A filler match was made here, every time you hear 3MB you know the opponent is going to win, but Heath Slater did bring some offense to the Uso’s this week.
Drew Macintyre tried to get the pin but Jay broke it up and the team of 3MB tried to isolate Jimmy from his partner. Heath Slater went up high but was greeted with a super kick to the face and after the splash Jimmy got the win.
BACKSTAGE: Renee Young was interviewing Los Matadores who told her that El Torito was Horny.
The Bella Twins and Eva Marie v Tamina Snuka, AJ Lee and Aksana
Tamina and Nikki started up the match up with Tamina showing off her strength, Brie tagged in and hit a second rope drop kick on Tamina for the two count, after Tamina went for the superfly splash and missed Eva Marie blind tagged herself in and got the roll up win for her team.
Triple H and Stephanie invited The Big Show out and told the universe that they had all agreed to settle without lawyers. Big Show then attempted some banter but Triple H stepped in and told him he knew it was about money, but Big Show said it wasn’t and he wanted to do the right thing and wanted his job back.
Stephanie then told him that he could have it back, but that wasn’t all Big Show wanted, he wanted the world’s largest bonus as well but The Shield interrupted. But Show said he wanted a title match against Orton. Triple H then threatened him and told him to leave and he did saying he would talk to his lawyers.
Triple H then told him to wait and gave him the match at Survivor Series. Big Show then made the mistake of going back into the ring and standing toe to toe with Triple H. The COO then made the four on one handicap match of Randy Orton and The Shield against Show.
The match wasn’t much of a match as The Shield and Orton attacked Big Show from the offset before the Shield tried to hit their powerbomb but Show fought out.
Kane then walked out in a suit and tie, it was the strangest thing I have ever seen, and the distraction allowed Orton and The Shield to maintain the upper hand, Orton hit the RKO and Kane threw chairs into the ring and the match ended as a disqualification.
The Shield and Orton continued to beat Big Show with chairs, before they dragged big show outside and hit him with the steel steps. Roman then picked Big Show up and put him through the announce table.
So, Kane is a corporate sell out, Big Show has a WWE title match at Survivor Series, if he makes it to Survivor Series, Del Rio wants his rematch with John Cena and Total Divas returns this weekend. That just about sums up this week. Good stuff WWE. Survivor Series is starting to look like it’s worth ordering.
