Atletico Madrid duo Koke and Diego Simeone have been awarded the La Liga BBVA player and manager of the month awards for October.
The awards are based on performances from match day 6-11 in La Liga where it is felt the Atletico pair were the best in the league.
Atletico have had a wonderful start to the season, sitting second in the league and are just one point behind leaders Barcelona.
Madrid won four out of their five La Liga games in October as they look to find the consistency to make the title race in Spain a three-horse race as apposed to two- as it so usually is.
Simeone took charge of Atletico in 2011 and has ironed out many of their old frailties to make them extremely difficult to beat, adding some of the bite and organisation the Argentine is renowned for. But also creating a very dangerous attacking unit.
Koke makes it consecutive successes for Atletico players after Diego Costa won the award for September. The 21-year-old has made a great contribution to his side's form with an impressive eight assists, the highest in the division.
He is growing into an excellent midfielder and his performances are being recognised by his national team, where he has five caps for Spain. He appeared as a substitute in both of Spain's World Cup qualifiers last month.
Simeone and Koke will now turn their attention to Austria Wien in the Champions League tonight before a tricky trip to Villarreal this weekend.
