Real Madrid will step up their chase of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in a bid to sign the hot-shot striker.
According to Goal.com, Los Merengues have expressed informal interest in Suarez, but will have to wait at least until the end of the season.
Due to Real's lack of funds and Liverpool's reluctance to sell their prized asset, a January transfer is out of the question.
Los Blancos will definitely have to dig deep in their pockets for Suarez, who was the subject of a £40m-plus-one-pound bid from Arsenal this summer, which was rejected swiftly by the Reds.
Yet Real Madrid will try to lure the Uruguayan to the Bernabeu next summer, after only having Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata leading the front-line.
Suarez - who was one of 23 players shortlisted last week for the Fifa Ballon d'Or - claimed in a recent interview to be unaware of any interest from Madrid.
On the other hand, Suarez has stated he could join Real Madrid and really likes the club, while his summer transfer saga was on-going.
Real Madrid didn't make a formal bid for the Liverpool striker and used the money to complete Gareth Bale's record-breaking €100million transfer from Tottenham.
Currently, Suarez has stated he is happy at Liverpool and wants to stay.
If Liverpool manage to finish in the top-four and secure a Champions League spot for next season, than the striker will most probably stay at Liverpool.
But if the Reds miss out on a top-four finish, Liverpool will hardly stand in Suarez's way if a huge offer was made from a club who are not considered direct rivals.
