Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar admits it's flattering to be linked with a move to a club like Arsenal.
Speaking to Sky Sports, as reported by the Daily Express, the Senegal under-20 striker went on to call Arsenal "one of the best teams in the world."
The report claims Babacar is keen on a switch to the Premier League - with West Ham also thought to be plotting a January bid - but Arsenal remains his first-choice.
He said: "It is very encouraging when you are linked with clubs such as Arsenal, they are one of the best teams in the world and they do great things with young players.
"The manager there has such a good reputation to develop talent, but I am under contract with Fiorentina so they will have to decide if I have to go to England.
"I heard about West Ham through my agent, but they have not made anything official yet."
The £5m-rated forward is currently on loan at Mondena from parent club Fiorentina, and he's hit seven goals in 10 Serie B appearances so far this season.
The 6ft-3in striker is reportedly a target for Arsenal, with the Gunners keen to draft in striker reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Injury to Olivier Giroud would severely dent Arsenal's hopes of mounting a title challenge this season, an opportunity Gunners boss Arsene Wenger does not want to squander after the club's impressive start to the season.
