Liverpool's Spanish target to become available

Sporting Lisbon could be set to make Liverpool target Diego Capel available for a transfer in January, reports talkSPORT

According to sources in Portugal, the former Barcelona youth product could be set to depart the club once the next transfer window opens.

Capel, who has struggled with injuries so far this season, is one of the club's highest earning stars and could leave the club for £5.75 million

However, the Spanish winger was also linked with a move to Ligue 1 outfit Marsielle in the summer and the Reds may face a battle to sign the star.

Brendan Rodgers signed winger Victor Moses in the summer, but he only arrived at Anfield on loan, so the Liverpool boss may now renew his interest in Capel.

It's not yet known which club the 25-year-old would take preference in to joining, but the winger may well move across Europe in 2014.
