In the fast and furious world of modern technology, it is extraordinarily difficult to keep a secret for too long.

This would appear to apply especially to football. It seems these days that barely a day goes by when a new transfer rumour or tidbit of juicy gossip is not doing the rounds.

Of course, you should certainly not believe everything that you read - an old adage that is particularly relevant once again in the age of social media. More often than not, rumours spread around the internet tend to be proved false.

Today, a picture has been circulating throughout Twitter that some are claiming could be Premier League champions Manchester United's leaked home shirt for the 2014/15 campaign.

The kit appears to bear the usual Nike moniker, something that will certainly be on next season's shirt given that the sportswear giant recently extended their deal with the Red Devils.

In addition, it features Chevrolet as United's shirt sponsor, something that will also be the case from the start of next season.

Take a look at the shirt above. Do you think it is real or fake?

We certainly know what we think... It's fake, surely?
