Arsenal are weighing up the possibility of a move for Monaco right-back Fabinho as a replacement for Bacary Sagna, according to the Daily Mail.
The young Brazilian, who is currently on loan from Rio Ave, has been in consistently good form in Ligue 1 this season and Arsene Wenger is keeping an eye on his situation, with a view for a move in the summer transfer window.
It is rumoured that the Gunners' France-based scout, Giles Grimandi, has highlighted Fabinho after being detailed to find an upcoming right back who fill the void left if Bacary Sagna departs the Emirates.
The French right-back's contract runs up in less than a year and up until now he has stalled over penning an extension.
Arsenal are thought to be keen to retain the services of Sagna, but Fabinho may be bought in as a replacement if the 30-year-old refuses to sign a new contract.
The youngster, who has played once for the Real Madrid first team whilst on loan, is highly-rated in Brazil, and at 20-years-old he could provide a useful longterm option.
