Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos believes teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are the best attacking players in Europe.
Ronaldo has continued his amazing goalscoring record at the club and currently has 13 goals in 12 Primera Division games, while Gareth Bale seems to have found his feet after an injury-plagued start with the Spanish giants.
The Spanish international is pleased to be on the same side as the prolific duo and claims they are impossible to defend against.
Ramos said: “The relationship he has with Cristiano Ronaldo is very special. For me they are the two best attacking players in Europe right now - and to have them in the same team is very special - I am just glad I play for Madrid and only have them in training.
“They are both just so complete in their game - there is not an attribute they don't have. What makes them so dangerous is they have no position on the field. You look and one minute Bale is on the left and Cristiano on the right then you look again and they have swapped.
“I don't even think you can say they are hard to defend against - they are almost impossible to defend against.”
Welshman Bale, who joined Los Merengues in a world record-breaking transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, experienced a rather slow start at his new club with injuries and fitness problems hampering his form.
In the last three games, however, Bale has scored three times and has assisted another four. Ramos praised his new teammate and criticised the people who doubted the Welshman on arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He added: “Those that were questioning Gareth Bale now don't look all that intelligent. He has had to get over an injury and adjust to a new country - but already he is playing like one of the top players in Europe.”
Madrid currently sit third in La Liga, and will look to close the six-point gap to Barcelona at the top of the table with victory over Real Sociedad this weekend.
