Former-Manchester United right-back Gary Neville thinks Old Trafford teenager Adnan Januzaj can become one of the best players in the world.
Neville believes the 18-year-old attacking midfielder has the key attributes to turn his world-class talent into consistent performances after his breakout display against Sunderland.
Januzaj scored twice as United beat the Black Cats 2-1 at the Stadium of Light last month, and Neville thinks the Belgian teenager has the potential to be one of the leading lights in the Premier League.
"Adnan Januzaj's great qualities are firstly his balance, which is absolutely fantastic when he's moving with the ball and dropping his shoulder one way to go the other," Neville told EA Sports as reported by the Daily Mirror.
"Secondly [there is] his effortlessness. He has the ability to drift past people as if they're not there when he attacks the defender's back foot.
"I've played at United and you're conscious of adding too much pressure to young players. However, I genuinely think this guy could be one of the best in the world. I think he's that talented."
One of the "Golden Generation" of United academy products that graduated in the early 90s, Neville became one of the most consistent defenders of the Premier League era.
He won eight Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two Champions Leagues under Sir Alex Ferguson over the course of a 19 year playing career.
Now a highly regarded pundit on TV, the former Manchester United star also assists England boss Roy Hodgson. And he went on to sing the praises of another ex-United academy product, West Ham's Ravel Morrison.
Neville said: "He also has great balance but also great awareness. He understands where players are around him, and always looks like he has time and space when a game is frantic.
"He can go past a player, and he’s also got a toughness to him - he’s hard to knock off the ball. For a centre midfielder to have that is a rare commodity in English football; you need to go back to the likes of Paul Gascoigne."
Neville was speaking in his EA Sports FIFA Ultimate Team column. You can read that here.
