Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed striker Danny Welbeck will miss this weekend's crunch clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The Premier League champions take on the league leaders on Sunday currently finding themselves eight points off the pace at the top and in desperate need of victory at the Theatre of Dreams.
However, they will have to try and win the game without England international Welbeck after the United boss ruled him out of the match.
However, in Moyes' pre-match press conference, the Red Devils boss revealed he is expecting a couple of his absentees to return for the clash with Arsene Wenger's side.
United will be hoping the likes of Michael Carrick will be available for the weekend's showdown and ahead of the game, Moyes told reporters: “Hopefully, we'll have a few players back. The only one who is not in contention is Danny Welbeck.
"He's still suffering with his knee. But hopefully I'll have the other ones in and around the squad. I'll be able to make a decision tomorrow once I see how they all are.”
United will be looking to cut the gap at the top to five points against Arsenal on Sunday as they go in search of their third straight league win.
