Arsenal's recent signings have been nothing short of miracles.

Mesut Ozil recently arrived at the Emirates for a club-record fee of £42.5million and with Mathieu Flamini arriving on a free transfer - one of the best bargains of the summer window just gone.

Arsenal's striking options however, are poor.

Olivier Giroud has been in good form of late and it's difficult to think that he may not be playing if someone else comes in.

However, someone more effective could fill in the role to help Giroud and challenge his spot in the Arsenal line-up.

Alexandre Pato is a massive option. The brazilian has been told he can leave in January, despite only joining Corinthians a couple of months ago.

He would really add something extra to the Arsenal line-up and has an extremely high amount of potential and growth.

Karim Benzema is also being heavily linked with a move to the English capital. He has been under-fire at Madrid prior to Bale's arrival and Madrid are already lining up replacements in Suarez, Cavani and Lewandowski.

Javier Hernandez and Diego Costa are also being lined up for around £15million moves away from their current sides.

Around and about the midfield, Arsenal have no worries.

They have one of the strongest midfields in Europe - if not the best.

Ramsey is in the form of his life, Flamini is surprising everyone with his ability and the likes of Arteta returning and performing extremely well means that the centre of midfield is absolutely covered.

The right and left sides, however, could be tweaked. Santi Cazorla and Ozil are the main right and left attacking players for Arsenal and with their deputies - Walcott and Podolski - constantly injured, Arsenal may need that both-footed attacking midfielder.

Gnabry could fill in and nothing is stopping Ramsey from filling these positions. Rosicky is also capable but Diego Capel of Sporting Lisbon or Marco Reus of Dortmund could well add that 'umph' that Arsenal need.

Defensively, Arsenal may need an additional center-back.

Koscielny and Mertesacker have been rocks at the back this season but Wenger cannot rely solely on them.

Vermaelen can fill in but other than that, that's all they have to offer.

Iqnasi Miguel, their only other option, is out on loan.

Porto are willing to listen to offers for Mangala and Ashley Williams is constantly being linked with a move to the Emirates and these additions would enable the rotation needed if they're to push for the title.

Gibbs and Sagna are suitable on the left and right hand side onf defence but Sagna is nearly 30 years old. Monreal and Jenkinson can fill in for these positions, but a long-term right-back could be an addition worth making.

Szczesny is Arsenals main goalkeeper with Fabianski as his replacement.

Viviano has been brought in on loan in case of emergency so Arsenal have strength in depth in this part of the field.

Arsenal are constantly linked with major players yet none have arrived with the exception of Ozil.

It will be interesting to see what Wenger offers in the next couple of months regarding new additions.
