Arsenal readying £15m Demba Ba bid

Published 2 Comments

Arsenal are ready to make a £15 million January bid for Chelsea striker Demba Ba, according to the Daily Star.

Ba, who has struggled for first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge so far this season, is seen as Arsene Wenger as the ideal back-up to Olivier Giroud.

The Gunners boss only has Nicklas Bendtner as Giroud's main competitor up top, but now looks set to up his interest in the Blues forward as he targets Premier League glory this season.

Wenger had made Ba a target in the previous transfer window, and will now tempt the striker to north London in January.

Bendtner has failed to deliver when given the opportunity to lead the Gunners' attack this season and Ba could gain more first-team chances, should he make the move from the Bridge.

And with Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres now ahead of him in the pecking order at Chelsea, he could be tempted to join the north London outfit.
