Brazilian forward Hulk has said he wishes to play under André Villas-Boas again, sparking rumours he could be on his way to Spurs in January, according to the Metro.
Hulk played the football of his life under AVB at Porto, scoring 36 goals in 51 appearances as he helped the Portuguese side win a domestic double and the Europa League.
He's since seen a drop in form in Russia for Zenit St Petersburg, but the Brazilian has admitted he would be interested in linking up with AVB at Tottenham.
He told twentyfour7 magazine: "I learned a lot with André Villas-Boas at Porto.
"He is very intelligent tactically. He was almost so well informed about the opponents that we pretty much knew everything abut them when we went out on to the pitch. It was scary how much we knew.
"I am really happy Villas-Boas is making a mark in England, and it would be fantastic to play under him again one day."
A move for Hulk never materialised in the summer, despite AVB's interest and Spurs being strongly linked with the player, due to Zenit wanting more money than Spurs were willing to part with.
However, a January move could be on the cards following Hulk's comments - Spurs are lacking goals this season and another forward could bolster their attack.
A £25 million price-tag has been set on the Brazilian and could well help Spurs push for a Champions League place and potentially a title challenge.
