Manuel Pellegrini admits Manchester City's away form is concerning but remains optimistic regarding their title chances. City have only taken four points from a possible 18 on the road this season, but Pellegrini is convinced they can still work their way to the top of the table.

Robin van Persie hailed the perfect team performance as Manchester United emerged victorious from their "must-win" encounter with Arsenal. The Dutchman heaped praise on his United teammates after the "massive win" moved the club to within five points of the Gunners.

Andre Villas-Boas believes Tottenham's 1-0 loss to Newcastle was a "very unfair result" on his team. Spurs suffered their third defeat of the season, but despite dominating possession and creating more chances, they fell to a first-half strike from Loic Remy.

Arsene Wenger refused to blame the virus going around the Arsenal camp for the club's 1-0 defeat to Manchester United. Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky were ruled out after suffering with the virus, but Wenger refused to use it as an excuse for the result.

Barcelona have been hit by a setback after Lionel Messi suffered a leg injury against Real Betis. Messi was forced off after less than half-an-hour on Sunday and now looks set to be ruled out of Argentina's friendlies against Ecuador and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
