Sometimes no matter how good a player is, or how famously brilliant his club may be, things just don't work out. 

In football it's often the case that players and clubs, whose dynamics and ways of thinking don't match, often clash to negative effect.

Nicklas Bendtner is a prime current example of a player who simply doesn't have a future at his club, no matter which way you look at it.

Once heralded as a gifted youngster, the Dane's very presence at Arsenal continues to lower his reputation, and it stands to reason that he'll be out of the door at the next available opportunity.

So where does he go from here?

Well, good news Nicklas- it's not always the end of the tunnel when you don't make the grade a club. 

A whole host of players who are excelling in the world of football at the minute, were once- some more recently than others- thought of as being surplus to requirements at one club or another.

So here we take a look at the top ten 'rejects' in football. Had they stayed were they were, the chances of them getting game-time weren't great.

Now they're in pastures new, and the grass is most definitely greener...
