Manchester United are planning to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus in January - and could offer Shinji Kagawa as part of the deal, according to the Times.
Reus, 24, starred for Dortmund in his debut campaign at Signal Iduna Park last season, scoring 19 goals in 47 appearances for the Champions League runners-up.
David Moyes has reportedly identified the pacy Germany international as the man to bring more goals to the current Manchester United side, easing the burden on Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney in the process.
The two world-class strikers have netted 12 of the Red Devils' 18 Premier League goals this season, while Kagawa has failed to score in his four league appearances.
The Japan international has struggled to hold down a first-team place at Old Trafford since his £12m from Dortmund in 2012 - and the 24-year-old could be reunited with former boss Jurgen Klopp once the transfer window re-opens if Moyes gets his way.
Dortmund are not likely to let their exciting winger leave without a fight, although reports that Reus has a £30m release clause in his contract may boost United's chances of signing him.
