Manchester City are lining up a €20million offer for Inter Milan 'keeper Samir Handanovic, in the wake of the poor form displayed by Joe Hart.
Manuel Pellegrini was said to be considering his options concerning bringing in a new No.1, but has now prioritised the signing of the Inter stopper, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
The publication, citing Italian source Corriere dello Sport, is speculating that City will move for the Slovenian in a bid to ensure that Hart has realistic competition for his first team place.
Handanovic has also been highlighted as a target for Barcelona, as they look to replace the outgoing Victor Valdes, and the 29-year-old is likely to spark a bidding war in January.
City's goalkeeping troubles have been much publicised, with Hart being dropped to the bench for the previous three games in favour of former substitute Costel Pantilimon.
Pellegrini is thought to be preparing to ring the changes over the coming months, with a number of stars expected to depart the Etihad, and Handanovic could well be the first purchase.
