Premier League: Top 5 Lionel Messi destinations (1)

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo believes Lionel Messi could move to the Premier League once he is 'bored of life in La Liga'.

The thought of the Barcelona superstar wanting to pack in his life in sunny Spain, playing with the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta seems unlikely - but there is a small possibility that the 26-year-old may want a fresh challenge in the later stages of his career.

Reports suggest Messi could have joined Chelsea in the summer due to the Premier League side's deal with adidas.

The sportswear company were reportedly prepared to pay half of the £210m buy-out clause that has been placed on the Argentine international's head.

Negredo's Manchester City have also been linked with a move for Messi, however they have never been able to convince the Barcelona forward into moving to the Premier League.

Here we rate the chances of Messi joining Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea.
