Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho has revealed how ecstatic he is at playing alongside Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, labelling the Reds an "excellent team" in the process.
Both Suarez and Sturridge have been in a rich vein of form in front of goal this season, accumulating eight goals each, so far.
Now, it is up to the Brazilian playmaker to increase those statistics, after appearing for the first time since September on Saturday.
Speaking to Liverpool's official website, Coutinho said: "They’re always on the move and scoring goals and I’m happy to play with them.
“They make our work moving forward easier because they’re always looking for space, and it’s easier to pass them the ball.”
Liverpool have been in scintillating form this season, more so with the added return of Suarez, and the Anfield outfit currently sit in second place in the Premier League.
Coutinho also spoke with regards to the rest of the squad, who have managed to remain inside the top four without his presence.
“But it’s not just them in the team, there are other great players and I’m very happy to be part of the group," he continued. "It’s an excellent team.”
Sturridge arrived at Anfield in January this year alongside Coutinho, with the pair hitting the ground running.
The Brazilian added: “He’s an excellent person. He’s always playing around with me and the other players, and he’s fun to be around and a great player.
“Everybody on the team gets along very well when they’re off the field and I think that creates a greater union between us and makes us stronger on the field.”
