Steven Gerrard has picked the five best players that he's ever played against in an interview with The Daily Mail

The Liverpool and England captain, who is currently on international duty with the Three Lions squad, has come up against some of the greatest players in the world whilst playing for club and country. 

Having played in and won the Champions League with Liverpool, Gerrard has played against Europe's elite clubs. The 33-year-old has also made over 100 appearances for England and has starred in two World Cups. 

In the interview with The Daily Mail, the Reds skipper chose Luis Suarez as the best striker he has played with and chose England's 5-1 crushing of Germany as the best international match he has featured in. 

Gerrard picked the tears of Paul Gascoigne in Italia 1990 as his greatest ever World Cup memory, but which stars did the Liverpool ace pick as his greatest ever opponents? Well, let's take a look.
