Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is the funniest player in the Gunners squad, with Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner coming a close second.
Wenger was asked to select the club's most humorous star during a question and answer session on Twitter yesterday, with Szczesny picked out for special attention after developing a reputation as a prankster during his formative years at the Emirates.
Bendtner was also deemed worthy of a mention, while other practical jokers such as Lukas Podolski and Emmanuel Frimpong failed to make the cut.
When asked who the class clown was amongst his first-team squad Wenger responded: "That's difficult, I would say Wojciech, he likes a joke. Bendtner as well."
Szczesny has become famed for his comedy in the Arsenal dressing room, which most recently saw him send a friendly warning to Poland striker Robert Lewandowski ahead of the Champions League double-header against Borussia Dortmund.
The 23-year-old also hosted a series of challenges against Gunners colleagues on the club's official website last season, which included him going up against Brazilian full-back Andre Santos in a Buzzwire game to test slight of hand.
