Chelsea & Manchester United set for £25m Moreno battle

Chelsea and Manchester United look set to go head-to-head for the £25 million signing of Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, reports The Daily Star. 

The 21-year-old is seen as the ideal candidate to act as the long term replacement for Ashley Cole at Stamford Bridge, however David Moyes sees Moreno as the potential successor to Patrice Evra. 

And with both clubs desperately in search of a young left-back, the two clubs may battle it out for the Spanish international's signature. 

It was thought that Chelsea were ready to make a bid of £20m for the youngster, however Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido will only accept his full release clause of £25m

As Mourinho and Moyes both face the same dilemma of replacing their ageing left-backs, they could be set to to go into battle with one another. 

The youngster looks set for a bright future, having impressed in La Liga and he could now make a move to one of the Premier League's elite clubs.
