Number 10: Mesut Ozil
Key Passes: 24
Playing in the number 10 role is all about one thing, providing chances for your team-mates to score.
While some may prefer to look at the assists column for the best number 10, a better indication is the 'key passes' stat.
That shows how many passes each player has made that has created a goal-scoring chance.
After all, an inch-perfect pass that splits a defence may not be converted by a hapless striker, meaning the playmaker gets no credit for his fine work in the assist column.
David Silva actually leads the way in this department with 27 key passes this season, but seeing as he is already in the team on the left wing the next best playmaker in the Premier League is Mesut Ozil.
The German has been a revelation at Arsenal since joining from Real Madrid, and although his performances have dipped slightly in recent weeks, expect him to add to the Premier League-leading four assists he has to his name on a regular basis.
