Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed the club are not interested in signing Lionel Messi, reports Sky Sports

Messi, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent time, has a reported release clause worth €250 million and it had been suggested that the Ligue 1 champions were willing to pay it.

The World Player of the Year is currently out of action for two months and the PSG president has denied the club will make any move for the superstar.

When speaking to AS, Al-Khelaifi said: "I haven't spoken to Messi because I'm not interested.

"You would have to ask the Barca president (if he is available), not me.

"I won't pay what they say he's worth. I'm a realist and that amount is unrealistic.

"I'm not thinking about the possibility at all."

It had previously been suggested that the Argentine superstar could have headed to Stamford Bridge as adidas were prepared to help Chelsea bring him to the club

However Jose Mourinho was unable to bring him to the Blues and Messi remained a Barcelona player.

Now Messi will be focussing on returning from injury as he looks to help the Catalans secure more silverware this season.
