There comes a time in the WWE when a particular superstar or diva arrives on the scene and we cannot help but be intrigued by what they bring to the squared circle.

It can be anything from a physical presence to memorable entrance music or even knowing that a superstar belongs to a legendary bloodline; either way there is something that always makes us believe that this particular individual is the future.

In the first of my series of the future of the WWE; I am looking at none other than the current United States Champion, Dean Ambrose.

For you hard core wrestling fans that have followed the career of Ambrose, you may have seen him in various promotions such as Dragon Gate USA, FIP and CZW where he entertained thousands as Jon Moxley.

Having made the leap to the WWE, Ambrose has impressed ever since his debut, he is one of the few current stars in the business that truly reinvigorates our excitement, and deep down it makes fans happy knowing that somebody like Dean Ambrose is one for the future.

He has had a quick rise to the top, joining FCW – now NXT Wrestling – in 2011 and just over a year later he sees himself holding the United States Championship and teaming up with the talented Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, known as The SHIELD.

He made his main roster debut alongside his partners at the historical Survivor Series pay-per-view and made an instant impact by putting Ryback through the announcer’s desk, you cannot ask for a better event to make your debut on, especially with the WWE Championship on the line.

But even as an individual, Dean Ambrose is something special, and he has the ability to work on the incredible foundation he has built and become a true star for the future, there is no doubt about it. On the microphone and in front of a camera, it all comes naturally to him, watch his work on the microphone in his earlier days and you will see why people compare him to the likes of CM Punk and Chris Jericho.

In the video above, you can see just how easy it is for Dean Ambrose to stay in character, and there is a reason why his mannerisms are compared to that of Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight, he is just plain crazy and shows it incredibly well.

His wrestling technique is second to none, the likes of Chris Jericho and even The Undertaker have praised his style, with the latter requesting a singles match with Ambrose, when a legendary figure in the business requests a match with you, you know you are doing something right.

Inside the ring, he tries to be different in everything he does, from the way he Irish whips an opponent to the way he punches, each is executed with a certain gravitas that just shows how different and talented he truly is.

Ambrose is one of the few that knows how to sell a move, most superstars can take a hit and make it look unconvincing, but Ambrose is up there with the likes of Dolph Ziggler when it comes to selling a move, he ensures that every painful-looking hit results in torment reverberating throughout his entire body, just the way it should.

He is a talent that many fans are excited by, playing a key role in the current authority storyline, gaining admiration from the internet fans, sometimes more than the likes of Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and even CM Punk in regards of making this man a main eventer.

Without Dean Ambrose, The SHIELD cannot function, it is as simple as that, he brings something totally different to the table, and we can see his development as a superstar.

If he ever does reach the John Cena or CM Punk status in the WWE and manages to hold the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship, that remains to be seen; one thing is for sure, he will still be a success in the WWE and a big hit with the fans and as a draw in general.

We already believe in The SHIELD, but it is time to believe in Dean Ambrose; in my eyes he is the future of the WWE.
