Chelsea have identified promising Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba as the perfect long-term replacement for Frank Lampard, according to Panorama.it.
Pogba, who was on Manchester United's books until 2012, has cemented his reputation as one of Europe's most gifted starlets since joining the Serie A giants.
The established France international has exceeded all expectations in Italy and is subsequently on the radar of several other huge clubs, including Real Madrid and now Chelsea.
Reports in the Italian press claim that Mino Raiola, the agent of Pogba, has developed a close relationship with Chelsea since he became the main representative of the Blues' striker Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Everton for the season, in September.
That relationship between Raiola, who is also the agent of Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Chelsea could pave the way for Pogba's move to Stamford Bridge.
With Lampard set to turn 36 next year, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to make a "mind-boggling" offer in order to secure the 20-year-old's services.
It's believed than an offer of around €45m would be enough to tempt Juventus into selling.
