He may be competing with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but Franck Ribery is confident he will be named winner of the Ballon D'Or, Le 10 Sport reports.
The Bayern winger was named as part of the 23-man shortlist that features the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Ballon D'Or is awarded to the most outstanding player of the year and is presented at a glamorous event in January. It may be early days but Ribery's wife has reportedly already made space for the bulky trophy at home.
The Champions League winner told reporters: "It will go above my fireplace in the main living room. At Bayern, everyone believes that I have to win.
"I have been very strong in 2013, I was consistent all year and I won a lot of trophies. It would be a great honour for me, for my family and for my kids."
The Bayern Munich star enjoyed a fantastic year in 2013 winning the Bundesliga, the Champions League, the German Cup and the Super Cup as well as enjoying a record-breaking year in the Bundesliga.
Messi is vying to break his own record and win the prize for the fifth year running, while Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to break the Argentine maestro's cycle to land the gong for the second time in his career.
However, Ribery has already beaten Messi and Crisitiano Ronaldo to the UEFA Best Player in Europe award in August, and he will expect to be named on the three-man final shortlist revealed next month.
