Premier League: 15 players who should stay put in January (3)

Chelsea

Juan Mata - Playmaker Mata's future has been the subject of much speculation over recent months, with the former Valencia star having seemingly fallen out of favour under the returning Jose Mourinho.

However, despite the obvious temptation to depart, Mata should stay and continue to fight for his rightful starting berth at Stamford Bridge.

Cesar Azpilicueta - Mata is not the only Spaniard to have endured a diminished role under Mourinho. Full-back Azpilicueta has been used rather sparingly this season, but should not give up hope of a bright future in West London.

Ramires - Brazilian midfielder Ramires is an integral figure for the Blues and losing him would be a tremendously bitter pill to swallow. Mourinho needs to remain firm in the face of a prolonged pursuit from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
