Premier League: 15 players who should stay put in January (4)

Manchester City

Edin Dzeko - Bosnian striker Dzeko has never quite been an automatic selection at the Etihad Stadium and even appears to have seen his playing time slightly reduced under the management of Manuel Pellegrini.

Even though he now faces stiff competition from formidable Spaniard Alvaro Negredo, Dzeko still has a lot to offer City and should not take the easy route out this winter.

Micah Richards - 25-year-old Richards appears to have been largely forgotten by both club and country over recent seasons. Despite a hugely promising start to his career as a teenager, the versatile defender has regressed at an alarming rate.

However, despite being linked with a move away from City of late, he is still able to offer so much to Pellegrini's ailing defensive unit.

Javi Garcia - Garcia does not appear to be held in particularly high regard by the City faithful, yet his value in terms of sheer versatility should not be underestimated. He would be sorely missed if he were to depart.
